Responsibility landed on you that you didn't choose and weren't fully prepared for — a role, an obligation, expectations set by someone else's plan for your life. You're doing your honest best with it, even on the days you resent that you never got a real say in taking it on. You don't complain often, mostly because there's rarely anyone else it could reasonably fall to.
